Transromanica-Guide:
The TRANSROMANICA-Project
TRANSROMANICA
General subject of TRANSROMANICA is to reinforce sustainable regional development and promote spatial cohesion through cultural tourism on the basis of common European heritage of the Romanesque. At the end of the 10th century, for the first time, regions in Europe developed a common style in arts and architecture: the Romanesque. Architects, artists and craftsmen travelled all over the continent and spread this style. Similarities thereby developed help us today to build bridges with our new neighbours within the growing Europe, to recognize our common cultural roots and to cooperate and to join together.
In an impressive way the project TRANSROMANICA is devoted to this common cultural heritage of Europe: General subject of the project is to reinforce sustainable regional development and to promote spatial cohesion through cultural tourism on the basis of common European heritage of the Romanesque.
